Myth, Magick, and Fantasy is a free, family-friendly weekend taking place throughout many different studios located at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment on Thursday through Saturday, April 13 — 15, 2023.

Keep reading for a look at some of the fun things that will be taking place throughout the Mill. Keep check back because we’ll be adding more details as they become available.

  • SCAVENGER HUNT: managed by SPARKLE Studio
    • Up to 24 different studios will be creating a themed display area in their studio containing their special code word
    • Players will pick up their entry form at each studio, then visit at least 16 studios and write the appropriate code word in each studio’s box.
    • Players can gain one extra drawing entry for each $25 (pre-tax) they spend at a participating studio. Just have the studio sign/stamp your entry at the time of purchase.
    • SPARKLE Studio will draw 3 random winners for prize baskets valued at $100, $200, or $300.
  • FREE CLASSES: hosted in the DesignbyHart Pottery Studio classroom
    • Each day will feature 6 or 7 FREE classes on a number of topics related to our theme.
    • We will post class descriptions and times as soon as that information is available.
    • Class Proposal Form: In the next week or two, we will post a link to a form where you can submit ideas for any class or workshop you would like to lead. Classes should tie into our event theme in someway or be related to mind/body/spirit/metaphysical topics. Anyone is welcome to submit a Class Proposal Form.
  • EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES: studios throughout the Mill
    • Studios will be hosting a variety of experiences, classes, workshops, and make and takes. Information will be posted as soon as it is available.
  • EVENT SWAG: t-shirts and tote bags will be available through HuntsvIllustrated
  • COSPLAY WALKS THROUGHOUT THE MILL: hosted by Lightning & Lace
    • Each afternoon at _____ PM (TBD), Emmie Mayne will join everyone outside SPARKLE Studio to conduct a group tour through the Mill. Emmie will even share a bit of Lowe Mill’s history.
    • We encourage everyone to come in costume of some kind related to our theme.
    • In early April, we will post a downloadable PDF guide with a studio map, list of participating scavenger hunt studios, a list of classes, and a list of experiences and activities.
    • The guide may also contain ads from Lowe Mill studios and other local businesses associated with our theme.
