Huntsville WWKIP Day 2023: June 10

Gatherings
15

Mark your calendars now and plan to join us on Saturday, June 10 from Noon to 4 pm for our 7th annual Huntsville Worldwide Knit in Public Day.

You can find us in the First Floor Connector at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, 2211 Seminole Drive SW, Huntsville, AL 35805.

We encourage all fiber artists and crafters to join us for this free event. We have plenty of room, so bring your spinning wheel, portable floor loom, or any other project you want to work on. If you don’t want to work on anything, just come hang out and get some inspiration for your next project.

ACTIVITIES:

Celebrate Your Work Show: Bring a work-in-progress or finished item. We’ll read a brief description you provide and you can walk among the tables showing off your accomplishment and getting lots of well-deserved applause.

Fiber Arts Destash Table: Do you have any yarn, fiber, books, tools, implements, or anything else related to fiber arts that you no longer have a use for? Leave your items on the table and take home some new-found treasures for yourself.

Fiber Processing Demos: We’ll show you how we use pickers, combs, and carders to process alpaca and wool fiber.
