Huntsville WWKIP Day 2022: June 11

Gatherings
17

Mark your calendars now and plan to join us on Saturday, June 11 from Noon to 4 pm for our 5th annual Huntsville Worldwide Knit in Public Day. In pre-covid days, we’d have close to 100 fiber crafters and artists show up throughout the day. Hopefully, we’ll draw a crowd again this year.

You can find us in the First Floor Connector at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, 2211 Seminole Drive SW, Huntsville, AL 35805.

We encourage all fiber artists and crafters to join us for this free event. We have plenty of room, so bring your spinning wheel, portable floor loom, or any other project you want to work on. If you don’t want to work on anything, just come hang out and get some inspiration for your next project.

ACTIVITIES:

Share Your Work Show: Bring a work-in-progress or finished item. We’ll read a brief description you provide and you can walk among the tables showing off your accomplishment and getting lots of well-deserved applause.

Fiber Arts Destash Table: Do you have any yarn, fiber, books, tools, implements, or anything else related to fiber arts that you no longer have a use for? Leave your items on the table and take home some new-found treasures for yourself.

Fiber Processing Demos: We’ll show you how we use pickers, combs, and carders to process alpaca and wool fiber.
