An open working and teaching fiber arts studio
Amy Shelton of Crochetville and Nharah Clark are happy to share the SPARKLE Studio space located at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, a reclaimed old cotton and weaving mill that has been turned into an artist community in Huntsville, Alabama. Our focus is on fiber arts. Our doors are open so that you can watch us as we create all sorts of items from our heart and so that you, too, can learn, work, and create in a positive and uplifting environment. Everybody has an inner creative sparkle, and we want to help you find it!
About the Studio
Learn. Work. Play.
An open working studio means that Amy and Nharah will be working their own creative processes, and all the tools and equipment are available for you to use by the hour or with your unlimited open Studio Pass. Studio Pass holders also enjoy 50% off classes & workshops taught by Amy or Nharah and 20% off class materials.
In addition to providing you with space where you can work on your creative projects, SPARKLE Studio also carries a wide variety of supplies for your various projects. We make some of our own products and we try to source local suppliers whenever possible. You’ll find a carefully curated selection of yarn and fiber, knitting and crochet implements, weaving and spinning tools, and so much more!
Many of our customers share our belief in the importance of infusing the work we do with a lot of love, intention, and positive energy. We carry a number of products designed to help our customers tap into their tuition and to increase their own positive energy: handcrafted Reiki energy-infused crystal and gemstone bracelets, oracle decks, handcrafted bags for your decks, and oracle and tarot readings to help you gain insight into various areas of your life.
Sit and Stitch
We host Sit and Stitch every Saturday from noon until 4 pm in The Loft, the enchanted forest cottage area of our studio. Customers are invited to bring whatever project they are currently working on and spend time talking with others who also enjoy crafting from the heart. It can be a weekly support group that’s quite a bit cheaper than therapy!
