March is National Craft Month! We’ll be offering new specials and discounts each week and free mini-classes on Saturdays. You’ll need to drop by the studio each week to see what’s on sale so you won’t miss anything!

Wed, March 7 — Sat, March 10: WEAVE and SPIN

Free Saturday Mini-Classes: Try your hand on a spinning wheel, rigid heddle loom, triangle loom, or 4″ pin loom. You’ll get just enough of a taste of a new craft to see if you’d like to learn more. Drop in at any time for a short 10-15 minute lesson.

Wed, March 14 — Sat March 17: CROCHET

Free Saturday Mini Class: Learn all about Jenny King’s revolutionary new techniques for making fashionable, yet super-easy, crochet garments for women (Get Squared) and babies through pre-teens (Kid Squared). Students should be comfortable with the double crochet stitch and able to achieve consistent tension.

Seats are limited, so please email info AT thatsparklestudio DOT com to reserve your spot.

    10 AM — 1 PM or 3 PM — 6 PM

Please bring the following to class or purchase at the studio: Size J crochet hook, ball of smooth worsted weight yarn, and 4 stitch markers

Wed, March 21 — Sat, March 24: KNIT

Drop in any time throughout the day to learn the long-tail cast-on, the knit stitch, and/or the purl stitch. No need to bring anything with you. All the supplies will be provided. You’ll learn just enough to know if knitting is a skill you really want to continue learning.

Fri, March 30 — Sat, March 31: Huntsville Comic Con

SPARKLE Studio will transform into Heroine Chic, the costume design and repair studio of Zoe Porter and Dyna Cuff. (Special thanks to creator David Tischman for granting us approval.) In addition to offering drop-in costume repair services, we’ll be offering sparkly Fairy Hair  for both kids and adults.
